The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport and Recreation (KZNDSR) together with the KwaZulu-Natal Sport Confederation (KZNSC) host the KwaZulu-Natal Sport Awards brand, in a bid to reward KwaZulu-Natal citizens for their efforts and achievements on and off the field of play. These are individuals, groups and teams that continue to fly the flag of the province at local and international arena.

The 2018 Awards will recognise and honour individuals and teams who have excelled during the period 01 August 2017 to 31 July 2018. The Durban ICC will once again host the prestigious awards ceremony on Tuesday, 25 September 2018 at 18h30.

The Awards seek to recognize and reward the exceptional performances and the great sporting accomplishments of athletes and administrators from the province. They recognize the top achievers in the Province in the sporting landscape with the aim of propelling them to greater heights and to encourage youngsters to work harder to achieve podium results. The hosting of the 2018 KZN Sport Awards follows the successful hosting of the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Awards ceremonies.

Sports personalities and guests from the lengths and depths of the Province and beyond are expected to attend the glittering ceremony.
