Umgungundlovu Schools Receive Sport Equipment

The main object of this programme is to support schools with sport equipment and attire, with the main focus on schools from disadvantaged communities and those affected by social ills. These schools were identified through consultation with the Department of Education. The event was attended by Umgundlovu District Mayor, Thobekile Maphumulo.
UMgungundlovu District Mayor, Thobekile Maphumulo praised the project as a good initiative that targets the schools that are in most need of the sport equipment.
“I’m very happy to see KZNDSR and DOE working together to bring change to schools that are disadvantaged. The kind of support that has been given to these schools will make a great difference to the children and I urge school teachers to take good care of the equipment,” she said.
The schools that received sport equipment and attire are:
