The Department makes available finance to assist Municipalities with the provision/ upgrading of sport and recreation facilities.

This is done in:

• Consultation with the communities
• Consultation with municipalities to ensure inclusion in the IDP

Approximately 13 new facilities based on the specifications of the building for sport and recreation programme will be built this year.
