Dundee July 2016, KINGDOM BICENTENARY, Saturday 16 July.
The Dundee July Rural Horse Riding event, now in its 11th year, is once again expected to draw thousands of enthusiasts from around the Province and beyond. The event takes place in the northern KwaZulu-Natal town of Dundee, which has a rich history, being at the centre of what is known as the Battlefields route, where the Zulus and English fought fearsome battles. This year’s event is staged against the backdrop of the KZN Province celebrating 200 years of the amalgamation of the Zulu Nation by King Shaka. With this background the organisers hope visitors will have a memorable event, fusing street carnivals, fashion, horse racing, pre-parties and a musical extravaganza.
